zvrba/ bookshelf/ todo

This is a list of books that I intend to read when I get some time.

  1. Ayn Rand: "Atlas Shrugged" and "The Fountainhead". Some people say that these books are the foundations of objectivism. I don't remember anymore where I learned about them, I just remember that I was intrigued enough to put them on my TODO list.
  2. J. Franzen: The Corrections. Described by some as "must read" of modern literature.
  3. L. Niven: Ringworld. One of the most famous SF novels.
  4. Tolkien: Silmarilion. Described as one of the more "obscure" of Tolkiens works. Describes a world before the one in LOTR.
  5. Greg Egan: Permutation City
  6. Sigurd Hoel: Arvestålet

Reccomendations from friends:

  1. Thomas Kuhn: The Structure of Scientific Revolutions.
  2. Neal Stephenson: Snow Crash. Recommended by a friend.
  3. Daniel C. Dennett: Consciousness Explained
